I belong to a group on Facebook that is mostly expats living in Chile, where people post datos, useful information, things they are selling, things they are looking for, etc.
I sold most of the stuff from my apartment by posting on the group. It’s pretty great.
Because I was selling stuff, I was pretty attentive to other people who were selling things. I liked to look at their items and compare prices. However, there were some things that were for sale that in my opinion, are just not okay to sell. I started talking with Eileen about this, and we started brainstorming a list of things that we wouldn’t feel comfortable selling or giving away. During the packing process, I’ve thought of a few more.
So, here is my list of Things I Would Be Too Embarrassed or Grossed Out to Sell or Give Away.
- Bras, especially Sports Bras
- Pumice stone
- Other various tools used for pedicures
- Toilet brush
- Toilet plunger
- Shower curtain
- Mouth guard
- Bath mat
- Headphones (the small ones that go in your ear)
- Litter box
- Used Lip Balm
What about you? Can you think of anything else that would be a no-no for selling before a move?
