Oh, Charlie.

Oh! Charlie, please believe me

I’ll never do you no harm

Believe me when I tell you

I’ll never do you no harm

Charlie’s been a little discombobulated lately. You can’t blame him. My apartment is practically empty. Strange people have been coming to the house every day to pick up things. I keep moving his litter box and food around depending on where I am cleaning. I’ve got my suitcases out. He can sense my stress and knows something is up.

As a joke, my friend F. started singing this song to Charlie the other day.  When I looked up the lyrics I realized how pertinent the first stanza was. I really want him to know that I’m not going to harm him or leave him behind, and everything is going to be just fine.
