When you get old you start losing your hair

When I first heard this song on the radio, I thought it was sung by girls. Then I saw a picture of the band, and I still thought they were girls. Then, eventually, this band became the reason that I wanted a CD player. I think I was in fourth grade, and since I didn’t have a CD player, I would listen to the top ten count down every single night so that I could hear their songs. Sometimes I would record the radio on to a cassette tape so I could listen to it later. Finally,  for my birthday I got a CD player and their CD. So happy.

Wanna know a secret? I don’t think I ever really knew what the lyrics to this song were. And I still can’t understand them without looking them up. But that didn’t stop me from LOVING this song and deciding that I was going to marry Zac (my best friend had dibs on Taylor).

My love for Hanson didn’t continue much past elementary school, and in fact I threw away their CD when I cleaned out all my stuff before going to college. However, thanks to Chilena en Nueva York I listened to some of their newer songs, and you know what? They aren’t bad.

PS. Happy Halloween! And if you are in Chile, I hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend.

    • You liked Zac too?? I remember having serious discussions with my best friend about our future lives married to Taylor and Zac. We talked as if it were a distinct possibility that we would marry them and live happily ever after together in adjacent houses. If only we had realized how many other millions of girls were dreaming the same thing…haha.
