A couple of things

First, and most importantly, Happy Anniversary to my lovely parents! They celebrate 27 years of marriage today. I love you both so much.

Secondly, I’m about-to-jump-out-of-my-pants happy because I have a new job! No details here, unfortunately, for obvious reasons. It’s only part time, so I’ll still be teaching at the Institute, but I’m excited for the possibilities this opportunity brings for my professional development. It’s a career opportunity, whereas I knew teaching English was only a job. That’s not to say that I didn’t like teaching. I absolutely do. That’s why I’m glad I’ll be able to do both for now. However, I know that I can’t teach English (at least here in Chile) for the rest of my life. The schedule is just too draining.

Thirdly…hmm…I’m not sure there was a thirdly. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Happy 4th to all of you from the US. Is anyone doing anything fun to celebrate?

  1. OK, I feel like a big dork. This post popped up as new in my feed reader with the date Jan. 18, 2012, but now I see that it was actually posted two years ago. hahaha Actually, that has happened several times with your blog (old posts reappearing in Google Reader). Do you know why?

By the way, feel free to delete both of these comments! 😉

    • Hey Katie! Sorry about that. What happened was when I moved from blogger to WordPress about a year ago, all of my posts came through weirdly formatted. For some reason, when I edit them, they come up as new in Google Reader. I don’t know how to prevent that.
