>Driving Miss Daisy

>I really enjoyed this movie for a variety of reasons.

First of all, it was only 1 hour and 38 minutes long. There is something to be said about shorter movies. (Okay, maybe I just have a short attention span)

Second of all, it was a simple movie in terms of plot. In fact, not much happened, it just followed the relationship between Hoke and Miss Daisy while touching upon very important themes such as racism, anti-Semitism, the Civil Rights Movement and the treatment of elderly people.

Thirdly, I love Morgan Freeman. He is an amazing actor. I loved the mannerisms he adopted like saying “Yes’m” to everything and the way he walked kind of stumped over.

I’m glad this movie won Best Picture because it’s different than the “typical” Best Picture winner which I think is usually some sort of “epic” movie with lots of special effects, or else one that deals with a really controversial subject.
